Vanish

I just finished this book (by Tom Pawlik) and I have to say I was confused for most of it. Not that I didn't understand but confused right along with the characters. They all saw a storm coming one night and when they awoke the next morning everyone else had vanished! Gone! No one anywhere. Weird. After a bit they meet each other and decide to stay together. Crazy things happen and there are alien figures watching them all the time. They do attack at times and take a survivor here and there. Creepy and strange. I was however glued and wanted to know where the story was heading. You don't really find out till the last few chapters and then you feel a bit surprised. It doesn't fully end in this book so of course I will have to read book 2.
