The Shack

There are many opinions on 'The Shack' by William Young and I'll listen to them as long as the person giving the opinion has actually read it. If not then I don't want to hear it. I LOVED 'The Shack' and I know not everyone does and that is fine. I loved how he asks the things he wants to know and that he gets answers that seem to me have been inspired. I laughed when he and Jesus were lying on the dock looking at the stars and he said he had always though Jesus would be more handsome. Just how it sounded and that Jesus already knows what we're thinking anyway. It was a funny moment that helps you see that of course Jesus has a sense of humour. Also when he was trying to walk on the water and he was all shocked that his feel got wet. Plus how the trinity was together made God more personal for me. I know it's fiction but It relayed the personal relationship God wants with us. I cried when he sees his little girl through the glass and she comes and touches his hand. When he was with the judge and was suppose to decide what one of his kids would go to hell I was horrified and yet we sometimes just say that or that person should not be forgiven and should go to hell but God loves us all and we are all him children. He no more wants that for us than we would for one of our kids. Never the less I believe we should all read this book and we should all spend some time in the shack.
